Carter Caves to Offer Winter Discounts on Lodging, Golf and Cave Tours

Carter Caves State Resort Park will offer discounts for lodging, golf and cave tours this winter to highlight the wide range of activities still available at the park during the winter months.

Now through March 31, 2009, Carter Caves will offer discount coupons similar to those offered during the summer. The success of the summer program prompted the winter one. The coupons can be obtained on-line at the Carter Caves page at http://www.parks.ky.gov/ or by asking for them upon check-in at the park.

Specials being offered include a lodge room for two adults at Lewis Caveland Lodge for $69.95 plus tax per night. The price includes two breakfasts and tips. The discount is good for Sunday through Thursday night only and is subject to availability. The discount does not apply on holidays or special event dates.

Special prices also apply at the park’s golf course, where you can play all day with a cart for $20. This discount is good Monday through Thursday, and no other discounts apply.

For cave tours, a coupon allows you to buy one adult ticket and get a second adult ticket free. This discount applies Monday through Thursday.

A two bedroom cottage for up to four adults costs $99.95 plus tax per night, with each additional adult costing only $10. This coupon is good for Sunday through Thursday night stay and is based on availability. This is not available on holidays or special event dates.

At the gift shop, a coupon will get you 15% off any purchase over $15, excluding snacks and beverages and items marked as sale items.

For more information, call Chris Perry at 606-286-4411 or 800-325-0059.
Carter Caves State Resort Park is located just 5 miles from I-64 at 344 Caveland Drive in Olive Hill, Ky. The park has a lodge with restaurant, cottages and campground. Besides cave tours, activities include golf, mini-golf, hiking, swimming, boating and fishing.*

I'm so glad to have found this blog. I live in Alabama but am originally from Kentucky. I found your blog by doing a search for the barn quilts. On my trips back to Kentucky to visit my Father I have seen barns with quilts painted on the front and was curious about them.
